What is the difference between Botox and Dysport?
Botox and Dysport are wrinkle relaxers made from the same type of purified protein, and so is Xeomin. All three soften frown lines and usually last about three to four months. Is Dysport stronger than Botox?
No. Dysport is measured on a different scale, so the same area takes more Dysport units than Botox units. A bigger number does not mean a stronger dose.

Some injectors find Dysport spreads a little more, which can suit a wide area like the forehead. Others like Botox for small, exact spots.
What is Xeomin, and how is it different?
Xeomin is the same type of wrinkle relaxer. It is made without the helper proteins that Botox and Dysport carry.
Some people ask about it when another brand seems to wear off faster than it used to. It is not proven to work better for everyone. Your injector can tell you whether a switch makes sense for you.

For most people the result is close, so the choice is often simple.
- If one brand worked well for you before, staying with it is a fair choice.
- If you want to try another, tell your injector which brand you had, the areas and how long it lasted.
- Judge any new product at about two weeks, when the full effect shows.

Is Dysport cheaper than Botox?
The unit price can look lower, but Dysport takes more units for the same area. So compare the price for the same areas. Your injector prices it at your consult.
Which lasts longer, Botox or Dysport?
For most people they last about the same, around three to four months. Your dose, your muscles and the area matter more than the brand. Some people find one lasts a bit longer for them and stick with it.
Can I switch from Botox to Dysport?
Yes, many people try both over time. Tell your injector which brand you had, the areas and how long it lasted. That helps set the first dose of the new one.
Does Xeomin work faster than Botox?
Not usually. Both tend to show in a few days, with the full effect at about two weeks. How fast any of them works differs from person to person.
