What is a lip flip?

What is a lip flip, and who is it for?
A lip flip relaxes the small muscle that rolls your upper lip in when you smile. With that muscle calmer, the lip turns out a little and more of it shows.
It suits you if your upper lip seems to vanish when you smile, and you like its size otherwise. It does not make lips bigger.

Can you get a lip flip and filler together?
Some people do: filler for volume, and a flip to show more of the upper lip. Your injector decides whether that suits your lips, and in what order.

How much is a lip flip?
The cost is set by the dose, which is small. A flip wears off sooner than filler, so you go back more often. Your injector prices it at your consult.
Does a lip flip make your lips bigger?
Not in volume. It relaxes the muscle above the upper lip, so more of the lip shows, mostly when you smile. If you want fuller lips, filler is the treatment that adds volume.
How long does a lip flip last?
About two to three months for most people. The lip muscle moves all day when you talk and eat, so the small dose wears off sooner than in the forehead.
Which is better for thin lips, a lip flip or filler?
For lips that are thin, filler, because it adds volume a flip cannot. A flip works well when you have fullness that hides when you smile.
Can I drink from a straw after a lip flip?
You can, but it may feel harder for a week or two. The relaxed muscle is the one you use to purse your lips. It settles as you get used to it.
